☆ The downstairs area at The Motley Bauhaus is wheelchair accessible. The second story currently is not.
There are no steps downstairs and all passageways are at least 100cm wide.
There are double doors at the front entrance which you may require help opening. If you are attending alone and are having trouble opening the doors then you can get the attention of the
front of house staff through the glass frontage and they can come and help you open the door.
If you are attending a theatre show in a wheelchair you are not required to notify the venue in advance but it is a good idea so that we can prepare in advance by reserving a space for you.
⛧ All toilets in the venue are unisex. The accessible bathroom is the first bathroom you encounter on your right upon entry to the downstairs bathrooms.
☆ There are 7 bus routes and 3 tram routes within a 400m walk of the venue. There are also two major train stations within 1km from the venue and vastly more tram and bus options outside of
the 400m radius but still close enough to utilise.

He’s now a decade into a career throughout which he has relentlessly focused on honing a craft that allows him to express deep, complex feelings. Ben tackled grief on his breakthrough debut album, Breathing, and separation on its follow-up, 2021’s Begin Again. The success of those records — almost 1 billion streams — and his ability to connect with audiences in a live setting — he played over 200 shows in 2022 — propelled him down a track that felt at odds with what he wanted. Celebrating 25 years as a leading force within music and club culture, the highly-anticipated return will see Defected power dancefloors in Melbourne, Sydney and Bali from the 1st to the 3rd of November 2024 – adding to the brand’s world tour spanning 25 countries.
Continuing its unstoppable domination of the dance world, Defected Australasia will come after the brand’s much-celebrated Ibiza season and flagship Croatia and Malta festivals.

Abyssal Presents an evening with In:Most. They’re very excited to be hosting him … representing the Soulvent camp!
In:Most:
London-born Welshman Josh Croft and Brisbanite Bailey Greer like so many of their friends and peers met through the internet, back in 2014. SoundCloud provided the platform for such a meeting, and their friendship quickly developed over a mutual appreciation for all things musical, with a particular love for UK garage. The pair released their debut ‘Cloudfish’ EP the following year on Silent Audio. The writing partnership began to blossom, and before long these star-crossed producers eloped, with Bailey eventually leaving his homeland of Australia for Cambridge, all in the name of music.
Home to one of the UK’s most prestigious universities, Cambridge has also played an important role developing and nurturing a plethora of dnb talent over the last 30 years. Boasting pioneers like Nu:Tone, Commix and Logistics alongside newer names like Hugh Hardie and Inja, the revered and learned city would act as a dojo for the young duo. They played their first gig at Hospitality In The Park in 2017 and soon the bookings began to roll in. By 2019 they had crossed some weighty events and venues off of the bucket list, including Fabric, Hospitality On The Beach, Sun & Bass and more. Alongside Nu:Tone and Logistics in February 2019 they helped revive the weekly Spoonfed events at Fez club in Cambridge’s city centre, feeding the grassroots need for midweek dnb.
In 2020 the boys brought us their 16-track debut album ‘Voyager’ – a seriously accomplished project, featuring the talents of Lucy Kitchen, Carasel, Walk:r, Mistrust, and the mighty Logistics. The record displayed their penchant for soothing soundscapes, futuristic flourishes and luscious layering, which permeate whichever subgenre they set out to conquer. Following in the heavy footsteps of Pola & Bryson, the two carved out their own Freshman record to be treasured on dancefloors, wax and headphones alike. ‘Voyager’ shows just how their sound encompases the depths of the scene and received support from veteran artists like Ray Keith, Technimatic and Etherwood.
Their back catalogue spans an impressive list of labels, including Silent Audio, Spearhead, Med School, Hospital and Soulvent Records.With over 15 releases under their belt, the future is more than bright for this young pair, who show zero signs of slowing down..
Abyssal acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land this event is taking place upon, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, and we pay our respects to their Elders of past and present.

Solomun’s last Australian show in 2018 remains a memorable moment in the fabric of the Melbourne dance music scene to this day.
In 2012, Solomun’s immense growth in popularity made massive waves in European house music, coinciding with him being voted ‘DJ of the Year’ by Mixmag Magazine. His success further escalated in 2015 with his notorious Boiler Room set, which has amassed over 66 million Youtube views to date. Solomun’s passion for live performances has taken him to elite venues worldwide. One of his most outstanding events is his Solomun 1 residency at the world-renowned Pacha in Ibiza which has become the go-to Sunday night event on the island.
